Denver Colorado License Plate Wall Hanging
I created this wall hanging from used fence slats that were headed to the landfill.
I obtained the fence slats and then prepped them for usage. I ripped down both sides so they fit together better and brushed it down with a wire brush to clean it up a bit.
I created a frame using 1′ x 4′ boards obtained from a locally owned lumber yard and connected them using pocket screws.
I cut down the slats to length and then attached them to the frame. I then gave it a light sanding to prevent splinters but kept most of the texture.
After painting the whole piece with the design, I hit it again with a power sander to give it a weathered look. I attached a heavy duty hanger to the back.
The piece has been coated in exterior polyurethane so it can be hung outdoors, too.
If you want to see it in person, it’s hanging on the wall of My Meeting Space, which is located next to Lucky Mutt at Simms and Cross St.
This piece has already been created but if you are interested in a custom Colorado license plate wall hanging, go to the Custom Colorado License Plate page.
